This bachelor thesis aims in studying what are the hydrates methane, how are they being created, in which regions are they concentrated with special mention to Eastern Mediterranean space, what technologies have been created around them and what can be their impact on the economy and oil industry. The first chapter analyses the general and introductory terminology that describes the hydrates, what are the mud volcanos, which are being identified based on the international bibliography, and how are they connected with the hydrates methane. The second chapter of the thesis focus on the creation of the Eastern Mediterranean Arc thoroughly analyses Anaximander’s mud volcanos complex
