Οι χρωστικές της Κύπρου: σύσταση, σχηματισμός και χαρακτηριστικά = Natural pigments of Cyprus: composition, formation and characteristics.
Περίληψη
The extraction and exploitation of the natural earth pigments of Cyprus has been known since antiquity. Natural earth pigments have been used extensively in ancient times to decorate vases and other artworks. Natural earth pigments include ochre, umber and green earth and are used in industry to produce high quality painting colors. However, the recent years in Cyprus there has been a depletion of natural earth resources, so the rational utilization of new and existing reserves is considered necessary for the viability of the pigment industry of the island.
