Σταδιοδρομία και επαγγελματική εξέλιξη γεωλόγων στην Ελλάδα στο χώρο του Geomarketing = Carrier and professional develpment of geologists in Greece, in the domain of Geomatketing.
Περίληψη
The present thesis attempts to present a framework through which, geologists are able to capitalize on their existing knowledge and acquire complementary skills that are lacking, in order to be able to put Geomarketing techniques into practice. This would allow them to apply for work opportunities in other professional fields that require working with Geomarketing methods. Definitions of the term Geomarketing, that are found in bibliography, are presented, as well as the connection between Geographic Informations Systems and Marketing. Curricula that have to do with Bachelor's degrees in Geology schools in Greece and the rest of the world are also presented, highlighting the advantages and disadvantages of these undergraduate programs, considering the knowledge that is acquired in the field of Marketing. Learning pathways in order to cover the deficiencies are also suggested. Geomarketing employment prospects in the private and public sector are indicated and a reference is also made to the technical part of Geomarketing presenting the most suitable software and the necessary analysis tools used in a GIS environment.
