Πρόλογος

Η εργασία αυτή έγινε στα πλαίσια του υποχρεωτικού μαθήματος της διπλωματικής εργασίας του προγράμματος σπουδών του Τμήματος Γεωλογίας του Αριστοτέλειου Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλονίκης. Συγκεκριμένα το θέμα της εκπονήθηκε από τον καθηγητή κ. ∆ημήτρη Παναγιωτόπουλο του Τομέα Γεωφυσικής και είχε ως σκοπό την καλύτερη κατανόηση της λειτουργίας των μηχανισμών, που είναι υπεύθυνοι για τις εκρήξεις των ηφαιστείων από μια πιο σεισμολογική  ̈ματιά ̈. ∆ηλαδή έγινε η προσπάθεια να κατανοηθούν αυτοί οι μηχανισμοί με βάση κυρίως τις σεισμολογικές παρατηρήσεις, οι οποίες είναι το καλύτερο εργαλείο για την ηφαιστειακή παρατήρηση ...
